A Training program for National Agriculture Education College, Kabul, Afghanistan on Modern concepts in Agricultural business Management& post-harvest techniques in Food industry was jointly organized by ADT's College of Animal Husbandry, Shardanagar, Baramati, &VidyaPratisthan’sSchool of Biotechnology, Baramati from 22/02/2016 to 02/03/2016.

Summary of training modules completed at VSBT are as follows….
The team of 5 participants from NAEC, Kabul, Afghanistan visited on 23 & 24 th Feb. 2016. The participants were received by Dr. Ratankar Chitte &Mr. Shriram Risaldar. The training was started with presentation on VSBT Profile followed by analytical techniques on food & water such as detection of heavy metals, estimation of protein & some microbiological techniques.In the second half the session was on Quality assurance & HACCP followed by a practical session on HPTLC for analysis of pesticides & amino acids etc. Participants were taken to Museum in Vidyanagari Campus in the last session of first day.
On the second day the first session was on the Food laws. The participants then visited all labs, fish farm & aquarium. Finally the participants visited to Bio-village. The participants were very satisfied on the complete training module & also expressed their willingness to come to VSBT for 15 days training on food analysis.
The team of staff members from VSBT, involved in this two days training program was headed by hon. Director Dr. SushamaChaphalkar, Dr. Ratnakaar Chitte, Mr. Shriram Risaldar, Dr. AjamShaikh& Mr. AnanatSherkhane.
